Steve and Andrew have been working together in advertising and marketing for almost two decades. It all started with a single MacBook computer on a back porch and has steadily grown from there. Both professionals bring a unique and complimentary skill set to the marketing party. Steve is all about developing strategy, and Andrew is a creative genius (at least that’s what he tells us). They tackle each client’s marketing goals from their own unique perspective and then merge their collective viewpoints into a master plan for success.

Steve Mayhew is the president and founder of Momentum. He oversees the agency’s day-to-day operations including creative direction, client services, media buying, administration, and strategic direction. Mr. Mayhew formed Momentum in 1995 and has extensive brand management, marketing, and advertising experience. Prior to forming Momentum, Steve was the chief executive officer for Hair Club for Men, a nationally recognized retail chain with locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Steve has personally developed and executed dozens of strategic marketing plans and produced television and radio spots, infomercials, direct mail campaigns, and internal sales programs. Additionally, Mr. Mayhew has purchased media in over 70 markets and has experience in managing high-volume call centers including database management and fulfillment services.
Steve lives in Connecticut with his wife of 35 years and has four boys.

Andrew MacFarlane is the mastermind behind the creative department, but call him Drew. With over 20 years of experience working with interactive media, art direction, television, multimedia, print, web and events, he’s a true Renaissance man—and damn he’s pretty! I totally wrote this. Think I’ll get caught? Oh, and don’t call me Andy. Ever . . . for reals, don’t!
Drew is responsible for overseeing all creative services that Momentum offers including graphic design and the web, multimedia, and video segments of the business. An award-winning designer, Mr. MacFarlane is responsible for managing projects from conceptual development to final output. It is Mr. MacFarlane’s role to balance creative ideas with the strategic needs of each campaign once the market research has been performed. Have I told you his name is Mr. MacFarlane? Could I have said that any more times?
Mr. Andrew MacFarlane (see what I did there?) has won many international design awards. He keeps all of his awards in a special room that features many leather-bound books and smells of rich mahogany. If you want to see this room just ask. We can arrange a tour of his office. It is dark and filthy, and he can usually be found cowering in a corner listening to the deadlines flying by.
Mr. MacFarlane was a Forty Under Forty winner¬—designating him as one of forty people under the age of 40 whose efforts are shaping the Hudson River Valley Region and making a notable impact on his industry. Are you really still reading this? He’s way over 40 now, and they had to put fake parts in him to keep him coming to work. When Mr. MacFarlane has free time, he can be found in funky town.

Dirce Fornelos has a lot of passion for her work, and with her outgoing personality she loves to “get things done.” Dirce (pronounced deer-say) comes to us with over 18 years of client service and marketing experience gained through the hotel and student housing industry. She has extensive experience in leading teams and working directly with clients to provide the best results. Dirce has a business administration degree with a minor in Spanish.
Along with traveling to Portugal with her husband, Dirce loves to spend time watching her two boys play soccer and hockey. When not doing any of these, she enjoys her time with her 92-lb puppy Kai.

Laura Carey is the go-to creative monkey for Momentum. She not only helps review the work that goes to the clients, she works closely with the creative director to make sure all of our clients are receiving the best product possible. Oh, and did I mention she’s pretty awesome?
Laura reviews much of the print, advertising, and web design work that passes through Momentum––both in terms of the creative and the administrative processes. As director of intermedia, Laura is well versed in all manner of print and web work, ensuring that customers receive a completely functional, well-thought-out product. In addition to her many creative endeavors, Laura is also cofounder of the Friends of Kel, a local nonprofit organization designed to assist people living with cancer (2003–2012, currently on hiatus).
Laura holds degrees in computer animation, commercial graphic art, and awesomeness.
When you can’t find Laura at her computer working hard, she’s usually spending time with her daughters and husband, helping out at her family’s print shop, reading, watching movies, relaxing, sleeping, trying to relax with two kids in the house (impossible), camping––the list is endless.

Cassidy Acuti is a charismatic professional. She’s a trendsetter in the field with a flamboyant flair and an exuberant work style. From her skill to her smile, when working alongside Cassidy, you truly feel the creative energy rays of light radiating from her.
Cassidy has experience in both graphic and motion graphics and holds a degree in visual arts. Prior to Momentum she worked alongside creative directors from General Idea, a creative studio known for its specialty in 3D animation, motion graphics, and visual effects.
Her creative engine is always going, but when she’s not working you can find her chasing dragonflies or spending time with her family. Her favorite family members are Molly, Macy Joe, Ella, and Cooper (yes, those are her dogs).
