August 19, 2020I’m Doing Facebook Ads, but Should I Be Doing Facebook Videos Too??
So…. you’re doing Facebook ads to promote your business—smart! Currently, 81% of businesses prefer Facebook for their marketing efforts. But… are you also posting videos on Facebook? If not, you’re missing the boat. Internet video usage across the internet is through the roof—but you already knew that. You watch a ton of videos every day yourself.
Videos are one of the most popular informational resources on the planet and Facebook plays a large role in that. Currently, over 500 million people watch Facebook videos every day, including 60% of Americans. Facebook videos generate 135% more organic traffic than ads that only feature images. Right now, around 11% of all Facebook posts are video—which leaves plenty of room for yours.
Here are some additional facts you should probably know if you’re going to do it right. On second thought, if you want to do it right, give us a call. We’ll handle all the details including creating fantastic videos for you.
The ideal Facebook video is 45 seconds to 1 minute long, and it should be a native video (inserted in the ad) instead of a link to a video. Native videos generate more traffic than linked videos. Mobile-friendly videos also have much higher engagement. If you post a live video, it will be watched 3 times longer on average. Also, square videos get more engagement than landscape videos. Okay, one more. Most Facebook videos are viewed without sound, so your ad should be able to deliver a message without having to listen, if possible.
That’s it for now. If you want to talk about creating a Facebook video campaign, or any type of social media campaign, give us a shout. We know how to explain things in easy terms—or, if you want, we can dig into the minutia with you. The bottom line is that we’re here to help you get where you need to go.
